Food
I feed Finnegan twice a day, each time one cup of dry food plus
one can of Science Diet. Sometimes he skips a meal or two,
which is fine unless he doesn't eat for a couple of days.
Vet
Finnegan's vet is Fox Animal Hospital, 2107 Crawford Avenue, Evanston;
telephone 847-869-4900.

Notes
- Ears: In case Finnegan seems to be shaking his
head and pawing his ears, it might mean he's getting an ear infection.
The Ear Clear or Jumbo Ear Wipes should help.
- Guarding: Finnegan tends to be possessive and likes
to grab other dogs' toys and hold onto them. Same with rawhides. He may
also act protective of food, instead of eating it. If he's just guarding
food and not eating it, it's okay to put it away until the next meal
time.
- Crating: Finnegan isn't accustomed to being in a
crate. At home, he has the run of the house and doesn't do any damage,
except to his own bed. He likes to drag it around and tear holes in
it. He often moves around at night and sometimes gets a drink of water.
I assume he'll be able to do without overnight drinks.
- Cats: Finnegan seems to want cats to play with him.
Some run away, some ignore him, others attack. So far, Finnegan has
occasionally sustained minor injuries but no cats have been harmed.
- Birds: Finnegan has had some experience with one
macaw and doesn't seem especially interested.
Authorization
This constitutes authorization and promise to pay for any veterinary
or emergency care that Finnegan may need.
